Chateau Puy Blanquet is located on the eastern edge of St. Emilion near the Cotes de Castillon border.
The winery was formerly owned by the Jacquet family since 1958. In 2020, it was sold to the Malet-Roquefort family, owners of Chateau La Gaffeliere. Interestingly, the Malet-Roquefort family owned this estate in the 18th century. Despite the change of ownership, management of the winery has been under the control of the Moueix company for the 2 owners.
The winery is 20 hectares in size comprised of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.nt under the Moueix company under long term leasing agreement.
Wines are machine harvested. 80% of the wine is aged in vats and 20% is aged in oak barrels (10% of which is new oak) for 12-14 months.
