So there has been a lot of online discussion and numerous reports of the major dimming issue/bug that has affected a number of Sony sets since the recent PKG6.2858.0082 firmware update (which was released as the long-awaited Dolby Vision support).
Using the new God of War game, running on a PS4 PRo on Sony's A1/A1e 65", I have captured 4K footage which clearly shows this dimming issue in effect.
Please note - I have tried literally every suggestion and technical advice Sony and their distributors have suggested, including all manner of settings changes, different display modes, soft and hard resets etc. etc.
And whilst the processing of double-rendering and uploading has robbed this video of some of its quality, it is still nevertheless the best and most demonstrable footage I have seen online yet of the issue in effect.
