McAfee Review: McAfee Antivirus Review. What makes McAfee a strong contender in the antivirus market? McAfee is a trusted name in the antivirus market, offering powerful protection and complete security.

Hey guys, and welcome back to the channel! Today, I’m going to be talking about McAfee, a company in the antivirus market for over 35 years. They’re specifically known for their excellent protection and high malware detection rates. Now, having the ability to protect multiple devices at an affordable rate is why I started using McAfee about a year ago, and I've been using their antivirus to this day. So, in this video, I’m going to be discussing their features, pros and cons, and pricing plans. So by the time we finish, you’ll see why McAfee has been such a popular antivirus solution for all these years. McAfee is a powerful antivirus provider with real-time malware detection rates. And when I say malware, I'm talking about cyber threats such as viruses, trojans, spyware, rootkits, ransomware, etc. McAfee also includes web protection, firewall, identity theft protection, and additional features like a VPN, system tune-up tools, parental controls, and password manager. They also have an app that's easy to navigate, with intuitive dashboards so you can find features easily. Let’s now get into McAfee's features. First up, we have malware detection. So, when I started using McAfee, I checked out their AV test scores, and was amazed to see that they consistently got a 6 out of 6 in protection. To check this feature myself, I planted 10 malicious files on my PC. And with their full scan, it was able to detect and remove every single threat. Although it loaded my CPU to 90-100%, it took only a half hour to complete, which is impressive when considering their competitors take as long as an hour or so to complete. They also offer shorter scanning options. These scans also let you know if any of your apps or operating system needs an update, which will reduce your risk of being cyber-attacked due to vulnerabilities in outdated versions. All in all, I was highly impressed with McAfee’s malware detection rates. Next up, is their Firewall feature, which filters suspicious programs and activities from accessing your device. It’s customizable and easy to use, just set the firewall, and it’ll work with minimal input. And, if you’re an advanced user like me, they have a host of customizable features such as a program-blocking tool, 4 levels of network intrusion protection, software intrusion detection, adjustable trust settings for saved networks, and more. McAfee's firewall is even more effective than the built-in firewalls of Windows and macOS, providing you with great value. Then, they also offer two family plans with parental controls. The Premium Family plan, priced at $70, and the Advanced Family plan priced at $120 for the first year. The difference between the two, is that the advanced one offers additional credit and transaction monitoring features and identity theft coverage. Now, given the excellent protection and high detection rates that McAfee provides, these prices are reasonable and competitive. And, my recommendation is to go with their Advanced plan for the best protection on all your devices, in addition to the extra features included. Personally, that's the plan that I purchased, and I've been extremely satisfied. So all in all, McAfee is one of the strongest contenders in the Antivirus market. With the array of features that they offer, they're definitely one of the top options to consider.
