Is it OK for GPs to say they'll see fewer patients amid a pay row protest?
37,000 family doctors in England will today decide if they will take industrial action for the first time in 60 years.
GPs could threaten to halve the number of patients they see each day to 25, they could also stop doing work beyond their contracts and ignore 'rationing' restrictions by 'prescribing whatever is in the patient's best interest'.
The chair of the British Medical Associations GP committee has said the protest is designed to 'bring the NHS to a standstill very quickly'.
They say the action is necessary as part of a row over funding in the new contracts for next year.
