This magnificent Puritani recording was rmade in the audience in the front stalls....the outcome is quite wonderful, even in good stereo sound !!!
This was the premiere performance of a new production and had enormous public acclaim....you will hear storms of applause while listening to the recording. The pictures are from this Met. production. Qua staging and singing this performance had very high standards !!! All singers were really first class !!! This is NOT the broadcast performance ! Enjoy !
