Hari Om!
Sūta Rishi narrates story of Vyāsa Rishi touching upon his lineage, Amsha-avatāra-svarūpa, Trikālaghnatva, compassion for people in Kaliyuga, confusion and sense of unfulfillment.
Swami Aparajitananda makes reference to Guru Pūrnimā being considered as Vyāsa-Pūrnimā and qualifications of Guru in detail, discussing compilation of Vedas into 4 and allotment to 4 Rishis.
Reason why Vyāsa Rishi felt need for Mahābhārata, Brahma Sutra and Purānas for common people is discussed.
NĀRADA RISHI VISITS VYĀSA RISHI who is in confusion and is feeling akritārtha. Request by Vyāsa Rishi to Nāradajī to look into the reason is unique. Nāradajī points at the flaw, viz. how Knowledge has missed glory of Devotion to God. The message is to choose God and Satsanga.
Indispensable feature of the talk is when Nāradajī explains glory of Devotion logically and exhaustively to Vyāsa Rishi. Swamiji simplifies it beautifully with deep insight and astonishing examples.
Nāradajī also explains to Vyāsa Rishi how to evoke devotion in people.
Other points discussed:
• Bhūhu (Bhūloka) is called Karmabhūmī and other worlds, Bhōgabhūmī.
• Logic of Karma Yoga.
• How God is described in Bhāgavatam?
Nāradajī concludes by praising Vyāsa Rishi and his Kalāvatāra svarūpa and gives a hint to go into Samādhī, revel in Līlās, come out, recollect and compose Bhāgavatam. Then, on his own, Nāradajī narrates his own story. (contd.)
