Welcome beginner banjo players! If you've never played a lick on your instrument, these lessons are for you.

In this lesson you'll learn your first picking pattern - the alternating thumb roll.

Make sure your banjo is tuned to an open G chord, where the strings are tuned gDGBD (from top to bottom). The string numbers are 54321. Your fifth string is the short one :).
