We moved to Merida Mexico in October of 2019. Moving to Merida Mexico was the beginning of ACT III of our lives. We have raised 3 older kids. Two are in the workforce and the 3rd is finishing college. So at this stage in our lives, it was time for us to hit the road and move abroad, with our youngest child in tow, to experience the expat life and all that Mexico has to offer. It’s been a year since we became black expats and we recap how the year went and how close to our original MexitPlans we were able to stay. Everyone has experienced a crazy 2020 but we had a year full of exploration and new adventures while living in Merida Mexico. This has been a safe haven during the pandemic and moving to Merida has been one of the BEST decisions of our lives. Why didn't nobody tell me about Chilaquiles before now?
