So, how do you know if your wisdom teeth need to be removed? Your wisdom teeth are generally the last molar to come into your mouth in the mid- to late-teen years. We recommend in a setting of different types of disease, including gum disease problems or decay of the teeth, that they be removed prior to 25 years of age to reduce the risks involved with the surgery and to make the recovery process a lot easier for the patient.
