Unexpectedly, the American M270 MLRS systems, which suddenly ended up in service with the Ukrainian military, launched strikes against the Donbass for the first time. This is evidenced both by the data of the Ukrainian military and the published video, which allegedly shows the moment when 18 strikes were carried out at a distance of 80 kilometers in the Donbass.
On the presented video frames, you can really identify two M270 MLRS complexes. The latter, according to official data, were never delivered and were not planned to be delivered to Ukraine even as part of the American "aid" to Kyiv, and therefore the use of these weapons turned out to be extremely unexpected.
“The United States announced the supply of only the M142 Himars complexes and the appearance of the M270 complexes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine raises a lot of questions about what other weapons the Ukrainian military could have received from the Western allies”, - the expert marks.
Despite the information spread by the Ukrainian military, at the moment, representatives of the DPR do not confirm the information that American complexes have carried out strikes in the Donbass. However, if the information on this score is confirmed, then a number of questions arise as to which country's military carried out the strikes, since the Ukrainian military is not trained in handling these weapons.
