Josh heads to the stand for the 5th straight day hunting over a cut bean field. The previous 4 hunts were filled with a lot of action, but no mature buck was in the mix. This hunt starts out with a lot of deer working their way into the field to feed on the beans. Josh decides to do some rattling in hopes a mature buck might be nearby. Shortly after the rattling, a few more doe and a small buck appear in the field. Moments later "Dagger" steps into the field and starts to follow a doe around. Dagger is one of the bucks that Josh was waiting to lay eyes on to see what he was all about. The buck gives up on the doe and decides to work down the field edge towards Josh. While Dagger works a scrape, Josh throws a couple grunts out to get his attention. Dagger turned away after looking for a few seconds so Josh let out a snort wheeze. This sequence goes on for a while, but Dagger finally lets his curiosity get the best of him and walks into 23 yards!
