After Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 1, we know where Effie stands. She still cares for Tariq, and she's realized that she's made a mistake. So in Power Ghost Season 4 Episode 2, we're going to see her approaching Tariq and asking whether they can move forward after she helped save him from Cane, because she did warn him. However, we all know in Power Book 2 Ghost, it's never as simple as that, especially with Effie who is a survivor and is someone who's willing to protect her future at all costs. So I do think Tariq is right to shut her down in Episode 2. But I also do feel like they could still work together at some point in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, because they can use each others help, albeit the trust would just not simply be there.
