Heyyyy lovelies, welcome back to my third moving vlog - We have been in our new home 2 weeks already which is crazy to say - feels like 2 minutes.
In this video we will be doing an empty house tour at the beginning - if you would like to hang around for more - I will bring you with me as I share what we have done so far. From ripping carpets up and getting repairs and booking in services etc -
I have to thank my partners daughter for the empty house footage - we did not make it up here in time to see the house empty - so hubby's daughter took the reigns and did an absolutely fantastic job filming the tour. I am so grateful.
Details of our move:
We sold our 3 bedroom terraced post-war concrete house in Essex for £370,000
We bought our 3 / 4 bedroom semi detached 1950's brick built house with garage and huge garden in Northamptonshire for £290,000
it took 10 weeks - from accepting the offer on our home - to moving out.
10 weeks is FAST for England.

It took us 10 weeks - from accepting an offer - to getting the keys to our new home.
When buying a house in the UK, nothing is set in stone until you exchange contracts - the process can take weeks and months to get to that stage.
If you have been here before, we are moving to Northamptonshire to be nearer to family and this is hubby's hometown.
We started searching for houses back in January - and started viewing houses in April. We went on the market and sold our house on 10th June. 2024.
