Your 11 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for May 18, 2023: Friday will feature sunshine and building cloud cover. We'll see a few downpours pop out ahead of a cold front that will approaching from the west, but most daytime hours look to be dry outside of these pop-up downpours.
By Friday evening we should have a stout line of showers and storms moving in from western Ohio. This line will roll from west to east through all of northern Ohio Friday evening into Friday night with some beneficial rainfall and some rumbles of thunder. We could have some lingering rain Saturday as the front is a bit slower to clear, but once that moves out we'll experience improving conditions throughout the day Saturday. Temps will be on the cooler side too. After highs into the 70s Friday with some humidity, we'll see lower humidity and temps in the 60s Saturday.
Drier air continues to work in here for the Cleveland Marathon and mainly clear skies and a comfortable-for-runners temp is expected at the start with temps right around 50. We'll warm nicely under sunshine and low humidity Sunday into the 70s — the perfect day for the marathon, spectating, or doing your own thing in your backyard!
