This is a video about Kumrat Valley in the upper dir which is among the beautiful valleys of Kohistan. For the past few months, it has become famous in Pakistan due to its unique views. Kumrat Valley consists of forests, fountains, lakes, waterfalls, and beautiful views throughout the valley.
Kumrat valley is a combination of two words, Koi and Baat, from the local language Gaori. Koi means valley, and Bat means stone. This valley has a large variety of big rocks. Unique animals also exist in the mountains of Kumarat Valley.
The five most visited areas of kumrat are kumrat forest & waterfall, Kala chashma, jazz banda, kund banda, and katora lake.
We pass by the forest as we enter the Kumrat Valley. This forest moves till the end of the valley with the track.
The waterfall of kumrat is famous among tourists. Its real name is Kotgal waterfall. After the head of Jamat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq, this waterfall was named Siraj Aabshar after him.
Kala Chashma is an essential point in Kumrat Valley. In the local language, it is known as "Toray Oaba." The water of Kala Chashma is freezing and clean. So when the place from this river emerges has to moss it becomes Kala Chashma.
The third point is Jahaz Banda which is a beautiful place with mind-blowing scenes. It is in the Dir district with a height of 3100m. People call this place Jahaz Banda as it is as high as an airplane locally called Jahaz in Urdu. Mountains filled with snow, tall trees, waterfalls, and land full of greenery surround Jahaz Banda.
Jahaz Banda is covered with snow from October to May. The best weather to visit this place is from June to September. It takes 3 to 4 hours to reach Jahaz Banda from Tiki Banda.
Mountains surround Jahaz Banda. The view of the meadows is unique from each angle. One can enjoy horse riding, camping, and the facility of trekking here. Now the hotels are opening here in large numbers.
If you ever visit Jahaz Banda, do go to Konar Waterfall. The height of this waterfall is 100 to 150 feet. It is among the beautiful waterfalls of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa.
The fourth point is Katora Lake which is 11,500 feet from sea level. This Lake is locally known as Ghansar. Ghan means big, and Sir means Lake. This Lake is 1.25 kilometers long and 763 meters wide. Mr. Taj Muhammad of Jandrai village gave the name Katora to this Lake. The Lake is among the beautiful lakes of Pakistan.
Anybody will be surprised after visiting Katora Lake. Not only this Lake but the path is also beautiful. There are many myths about this Lake. For example, people say that a bowl of gold emerges from the Lake every Friday and then disappears. The water of Katora Lake flows in the form of a waterfall. Beautiful mountains, Glaciers, and alpine forests surround the Katora Lake.
There are many herds of horses and other animals in the way. After crossing first Lake, the rocky track starts. In the end, there is one steep. After crossing it, the beautiful scene of Katora Lake appears in front of us.
As one passes through the track, there are many temporary hotels in the way. Dhand Banda also comes in the way of Katora Lake. The distance of Katora Lake from Jahaz Banda is 5 kilometers.
The fifth place is Kund Banda which is a place where one can see magical feelings. I have seen many beautiful places in my life, but Kund Banda is a treasure of beauty. But, unfortunately, many people who come to Jahaz Banda still don't know about Kund Banda.
After searching this place, I came across Snake River. Kund Banda is next to Jahaz Banda. The population is very few here. This place is full of amazing views.
Konar waterfall is next to Kund Banda which is also called Raja Aabshar. This waterfall is also beautiful. I came back to Jahaz Banda from the same path. So if you ever visit Jahaz Banda, do come to Kund Banda.
The distance of Kumrat Valley from Islamabad is 384 kilometers. At the same time, it is around one and half hours from Thall.
