@OriginalDanBailey is a five-time Games athlete who finished fourth in the 2021 Open in his age division (Men 35-39). Bailey chats with Tommy Marquez about the current season and the chance of seeing him take the floor at the 2021 Games.
Bailey says he trains differently these days since his priorities have changed. In 2018, Bailey suffered a leg injury, and since then, he has prioritized his recovery and health. Bailey has also enjoyed helping others by sharing his competitive knowledge and experience.
As the season unfolds, Bailey says he is looking forward to being involved in upcoming live events, potentially as an announcer or a competitor. When asked if he would compete at the 2021 Games should he qualify through the AGOQ, Bailey says, “I would probably take it.”
“I really miss live events, I really miss competing, and there are a handful of other guys that are in my age group that would be a lot of fun to throwdown with in Madison.”
