It was the plan to arrive in the world of the new and they knew they would choose the free labor
But what had happened was: Many indigenous people had fallen they [were] sick with diseases
Then what had happened was: All the investors made up a plan they cross[ed] the seas with
Slave ships: Boats they could fill up with human commodities calling it cargo
Chained in: Stuck in a boat for two months is too much and it really was hard though

Latin America saw the arrival of 12 of the million African lives and then

From the west side of the continent - the Carabalí, and the Yoruba
Ended up passing along the traditions for generations to people of Cuba
In Argentina - songs of the Bantu, and in Colombia the Palenquero language is living
Like the Dominican rhythm and music and dance of paleros
So many different languages spoken, all of the people from so many places
Parts of the culture, music, and food and the religions were used to maintain it
Maybe it’s just the beginning of what is considered the story of those who are black
In Latin America - we are the people, the Afro Latinos, so take a look back
