The Charles Schwab American Express Platinum is another variation of the American Express Platinum lineup of Investment Bank Credit Cards. Charles Schwab is one of the more reputable investment banks that you can be a part of and there are some requirements you need to achieve to have a Charles Schwab Amex Platinum.

There are no differences between the benefits you get from a regulator American Express Platinum Credit Card and the Charles Schwab Amex Platinum Credit Card. Thee Charles Schwab is just designed for those that are invested in with Charles Schwab so you get a name on the right side of your Amex Platinum.

These are no more valuable than the original Amex Platinum Card, but cool to have so to speak. This is not a similar comparison say to getting a Tiffany Patek Dial Watch that the value is so much higher because of the Tiffany imprint.

The Charles Schwab American Express Platinum may be exclusive to Charles Schwab investment clients, but by no means is it a card that is highly sought after or desired when the original Amex Platinum is available.

In fact the American Express Platinum from Amex directly even offers their latest ART Design Platinum Credit Cards which you cannot get from Charles Schwab. It is not a deal breaker, but jumping through hoops to get the Charles Schwab Amex Platinum for barely any benefits and having a lot of capital tied up may not be the move unless you already bank with Charles Schwab. In fact, the best of the Amex Platinum Cards from investment banks has proved to be Morgan Stanley as their benefits will allow you to pretty much get the Amex Platinum For Free on an annual fee basis. However, like every investment bank, be ready to have anywhere from $25,000 to $10,000,000 invested with the bank just to be able to have the name of the bank on the Amex Platinum Card.
