Do YOU self check your vagina? As a pelvic physiotherapist, I recommend female clients to regularly assess the health and appearance of their vulva, which includes the opening of the vagina, the labia majora (outer lip), labia minor (inner lip) and the clitoris. Changes in the colour of these tissues, the shape, skin quality, sensation, etc. can give you very important information about your pelvic health 🌺. Consider sharing with a friend ☺️!
In this video I demo two positions: 1) Standing and propping a leg up on the toilet and 2) Sitting down (for ease of filming I was on the floor but I recommend doing this on your bed or a soft surface since you’ll be on your naked bum 🍑!) or 3) You can also ask your partner to check for you 🤓.
See a pelvic physiotherapist like myself if you have questions or concerns about your pelvic health! Don’t feel embarrassed to ask 💕!
