Days after drinking water from the Kali Bein river, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi after complaining of pain in his stomach.

Mann was admitted to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in the national capital’s Sarita Vihar locality late on Wednesday night. He is currently undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with a stomach infection.

Interestingly, the Punjab CM drank a glass of water taken out of Kali Bein at an event to mark the 22nd anniversary of cleaning of the river in Sultanpur Lodhi on Sunday. He also announced the launch of a state-wide campaign to clean rivers and drains in the state.
