Dr. Elaine Batchlor is the chief executive officer of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in South Los Angeles. Under her leadership, the state-of-the-art hospital has gained national attention for its commitment to high-quality healthcare for one of the most medically-underserved communities in the nation. Since opening in 2015, MLKCH has won accolades for patient safety, satisfaction, technology, and maternity care. In 2019, Dr. Batchlor received the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award and was elected to the National Academy of Medicine.
