This week my good friend the western martial artist, teacher and author Kajetan Sadowski posted on his blog, Kaja Swords, to announce stepping back from all martial arts involvement and his reasons for doing this.

Whilst I am terribly sad about what has driven the decision, I fully support his choices.
In this video I voice that support, and also reflect on the similarities of our positions as two publicly visible sword role models who became very well known whilst identifying as female, created a large legacy and how that relates to our gender transitions.
In 2019 Kajetan released a superb book called “Fear is the Mind Killer” which I believe every martial arts school or club should have a copy of.
