I've taken on a ridiculous project: to restore a vintage Sony/MCI MXP-3036 recording console.

I don't entirely know how to do this, but I'll figure it out as I go and hopefully come out with an amazing peice of vintage audio history to use in my studio.

In part 1, I'm really just getting started and seeing if I can get to the point of sound coming out of the unit.
