The Tokyo Electric Power Company begins the removal of nuclear rods from the Fukushima Daiichi plant which was badly damaged in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The plant is being decommissioned in a delicate process which involves removing more than 1,500 potentially damaged rods from the unstable reactor
