The killing of three people - two males and one female - within a one hour period Thursday afternoon in Vieux-Fort South ,has left residents of the town in a state of shock and fear , in addition to crippling commercial activity there. Schools in the community were also closed today and a Sports Meet for learning institutions in District 5 was postponed. The situation is being attributed to gang warfare which has plagued the community over the last few years. Thursday`s killings bring to sixteen , the number of homicides so far for this year.
