We arrived in #seoul after an 11-hour journey from #istanbul The first thing to do is to leave the luggage at the hotel. We stayed at the Four points by #sheraton hotel in Seoul station. #deoksgung #palace which is the prime destination, passing through #namdaemun #shopping #street . But since the weather was very hot, we had to cool off with ice cream first. One is more than enough for two people. The palace is very interesting with its magnificent colors and patterns. How can red and green colors look so aesthetically pleasing together?
I wandered around this door for several minutes, admiring the door.
The trees in the garden of the palace made us forget for a moment that we were in the center of the city.
The buildings are wooden and unfortunately we cannot go inside, we can look inside from the outside.
We came on the first day of July, the weather was hot, especially at noon, and it started to get a little challenging. This building, whose model you see, is Dongdaemun Design Plaza #ddp designed by architect #zahahadid
After seeing the model, the form and dimensions of the structure really impressed me.
That building is a major urban development landmark in Seoul, designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo, with a distinctively #neofuturistic #design characterized by the "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures."
There are concept stores in the building, you can see the products of #korean designers and take home a small souvenir from Seoul.
You should definitely try the 10 won cheese toast we saw on the street.
You should definitely come to #gwangjangmarket to eat.
In this market where different flavors are freshly cooked, we stopped at the place famous for the #netflix #documentary that everyone couldn't wait to try and tasted the food. To be honest, shouldn't exaggerate too much for the taste of #food .
Be prepared to walk a lot indeed. We walked without looking at the map and came across this quiet palace. The noise and density of the city vanished in an instant.
we wandered around #hongdae street with our last energy and looked for a place for dinner.
The street and its surroundings are full of cosmetics and design shops, the energy of the university youth passed on to us and we were able to wander a little more.
Ice cream break before dinner, don't ask how the only person can eat so much ice cream, it's delicious.
I don't know if it is exactly called korean #barbecue but it was delicious, I suggest you try it.
After dinner, we took one last tour and went to the hotel to rest.
we hit the road for #bukchonhanokvillage early in the morning. This area is a neighborhood with traditional Korean houses, if you want to visit this area where people still live and take Instagram photos, choose early morning hours and be quiet. You can take a #coffee break at small coffee shops in the neighborhood.
#onion cafe can be preferred for breakfast, it is a nice place for delicious desserts and coffee in a traditional Korean house.
#gyeongbokgungpalace is our last #historical stop for today. We spent 2 hours to visit.
It is very popular to travel by renting traditional Korean clothes. I didn't think of renting it because of the hot weather, but I would love to.
It was a place that fascinated me with its garden and architectural details.
We had set Seoul as a stop on our way to #japan #trip But when I visited Seoul, I realized that it is necessary to spend at least 3 full days in this city. I want to come again, I haven't even seen half of the places on my list yet.
We have an early flight to #osaka tomorrow morning, we chose the #insadong street for the last shopping, and you should definitely drop by here after visiting the palace, which is very close to the palace.
Make sure to try maple tree as a recommendation for Korean BBQ.
We couldn't sleep because we had jet lag and we came to #myeongdong #night #market it is a lively street, all the shops you are looking for shopping are available and full of great street #delicacies .
Our Seoul trip ended here but 2 days was not enough, we will definitely come again.
