A Journey through Prestigious Tournaments:
Emerging from Allanton, near Shotts, Dallas' passion for refereeing started with a humble amateur match in 1982. But it wasn't long before he graced the international stage. Dallas has the honor of officiating in two FIFA World Cup tournaments (1998 & 2002) and even held the esteemed role of fourth official in the 2002 Final.
Dallas' talent also shone at the 1996 Olympic Games in the USA, where he was in charge of three group matches. Beyond this, his resume boasts officiating the 1999 UEFA Cup Final and numerous UEFA Champions League matches.
Highlights and Challenges:
In 1988, Dallas was internationally recognized as a linesman during a Cup Winners' Cup game. And in 1993, he showcased his quick thinking and compassion, halting a game to attend to an injured player—a move credited with saving a life.
However, every career has its challenges. Dallas faced his in 1997 when he made a controversial penalty decision in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualification match between Spain and the Czech Republic.
