Mattia De Sciglio (Italian pronunciation: [matˈtiːa de ˈʃʃiʎʎo]; born 20 October 1992) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Milan in Serie A and the Italian national team. De Sciglio joined Milan as a youngster and went on to make his professional debut in 2011. By the end of following season, he had become a regular in the line-up, being able to play on both sides of the field. De Sciglio has represented the Italy national team and Italy U21 national team, and also played for the Italy U19 national team. He made his senior international debut in March 2013, in a friendly match against Brazil. He was part of the Italian squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
