How to sharpen a long grind bowl gouge. Ellsworth grind -Woodturning.
Sharpening a bowl gouge using a tool jig and a setting spacer. This will give you a Ellsworth grind Irish or long grind. using this will give you the same angles time after time, this will also prolong the tool life. This is used for setting the distance between the corner of the arm to the face of the grinding wheel. This works for a Spindle gouge as well , you just need to make a second template.
