On December 7, 2021, the second session of the Social Cohesion Seminar series conveyed over 125 participants to discuss ongoing work within the World Bank to develop a framework connecting social cohesion to community resilience in contexts of fragility, conflict and violence. Nikolas Myint, Global Lead for Social Cohesion and Resilience at the World Bank, presented this work with World Bank colleagues Audrey Sacks and Marine Gassier. The presentation was followed by a vivid discussion, initiated by DIE’s senior researcher Francesco Burchi who acted as a discussant. Focus of the exchange were the strengths and limitations of the concept developed by the World Bank team as well as the operational implications that the use of this concept should and can have on development interventions of the World Bank and other development actors. Armin von Schiller (DIE) moderated the session.
