The Paul Butterfield Band at George's in San Rafael, CA in about 1987 I think. This is just Buzzy Feiten's solo in "The Thrill Is Gone". Buzzy is in top form here with more overdrive than with Full Moon, playing a perfect solo with his usual fire and superb rhythmic and melodic drive. Paul Butterfield was not in the best shape at this time. I chose to repeat the whole solo twice and then one particular Steve Lukather influenced lick (kind of) four times. I'm having a debate with a guy on the Buzz Feiten Fan Club page on FB as to whether this lick is Lukatherish. A few notes of it definitely are to my ears.
