Something a little different today, I got a gear upgrade! I will be back to the regular scheduled programming soon, but I was really impressed with how much better the Audio was out of this Behringer xm8500 microphone and Xenyx Q502usb audio mixer.
I was gifted the microphone and the headset I was previously using to record voiceovers. I was really unhappy with the quality of the audio and was starting to think I would need some big $$ microphones and equipment after reading the interwebs a bit. I decided to try this mixer for the mic I was given first figuring I could use it with whatever I ended up getting, however I really don't see any need to upgrade after trying it out.
I included some before and after audio in here and a quick overview/unboxing. It looks like I can even hook up my electric guitar to this and play around a bit which should be a lot of fun.
