Namaste is the Indian way of greeting each other.
The Namaste may have started in India, but it has now become a gesture and a greeting that’s being used all over the world.
The two palms are placed together in front of the chest and the head bows whilst saying the word namaste. This greeting is for all -- people younger than us, of our own age, those older than us, friends and even strangers. However, scientifically speaking, joining both hands ensures joining the tips of all the fingers together; which are denoted to the pressure points of eyes, ears, and mind. Pressing them together is said to activate the pressure points which helps us remember that person for a long time. And, no germs since we don’t make any physical contact!
