Short, medium and long-term corruption trends for New Zealand and neighbouring Oceanian countries are presented in this video using scores published by Transparency International in their 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report.
The video reviews New Zealand’s performance in addressing corruption in the periods 2021-2023 and 2022-2023.
New Zealand’s CPI score recorded an overall moderate decline in 2012-2023. Following a slim advance in 2012-2013, the country’s CPI score slowly declined during 2015-2023.
The rate of change in the country’s CPI score was worse than the rate of change in average Oceania, Asia-Pacific and global CPI scores in 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.
New Zealand’s CPI score significantly exceeded average Pacific Islands, Oceania, Asia-Pacific and global CPI scores continuously throughout 2012-2023. #corruption #newzealand #asiapacific
