Thank you for watching everyone. Small things like this really helped me when I was just started, so I included this in the last pour and decided it would be good to have a short video about how to prep a canvas before an acrylic pour.

Most all of what we post is for sale. If you are interested, please email us at hopedesignssat@gmail.com and myself or my husband will get back with you. It does take me a bit to get them up on our Etsy shop, but here is the link to our shop as well.

I use a small spray bottle to moisten the back of the canvas with water.

I use either frog or painter's tape on the back of the canvases to try to keep them a bit cleaner. This is also helpful if you plan to use resin to finish them because you can use a heat gun to heat up any drips on the bottom and peel them off with the tape after the resin has cured.

I also use large push pins on the back to elevate the painting and making it much easier to move around during the pour.

For those looking for a great heat gun, this is a good one and has great attachments that come with it. I use it for lots of things, but I also use it to get drips of resin off the bottom of canvases that I have taped.
