The patient was a Norwood 5a, so we focussed on the hairline and mid-scalp with a smaller number of grafts in the crown. Given the patient’s age and extent of hair loss, we decided on a fairly conservative hairline that would still look natural in the future.

He had signs of early growth - fine hairs after just 5 weeks. It has grown steadily over the year and he is still seeing growth in the crown, which can take 18 months to reach full maturity.
