Wolf's Lair, or "Wolfsschanze" in German, was Adolf Hitler's first Eastern Front military headquarters in World War II. Located in the Masurian woods near the town of Kętrzyn in present-day Poland, it was constructed in 1941 as a secure base for Hitler to oversee the invasion of the Soviet Union, Operation Barbarossa.
