Even if you refuse to accept that it plays a role in your decision-making, your ego can make you feel threatened by other people, place insidious thoughts (like “I’m not good enough”) in your head, and inhibit your confidence to ask questions.

But once you understand what’s going on in your own head, you can become self-aware enough to know how to respond in a variety of different situations.
