Title in Thumbnail: WHY CHRIST IS NOT CURSED BY CRUCIFIXION
Saint Justin Martyr (AD 100 – AD 165), also known as Justin the Philosopher, was a Church Father, Apologist, and Philosopher. Though many of his works are lost to us today the remaining can be found on this playlist. In all his works he is without a doubt an ardent defender of Christ and the teachings given to us by him.
Justin Martyr's "Dialogue with Trypho" is a significant Christian apologetic work in which Justin engages in a philosophical and theological conversation with Trypho, a Jewish interlocutor. The dialogue covers various aspects of Christianity and Judaism, exploring topics such as the nature of God, the Messiah, the law, and the relationship between the Old Testament prophecies and Jesus Christ.
Throughout the dialogue, Justin presents Christian arguments and interpretations, attempting to convince Trypho and other Jewish readers of the validity of Jesus as the prophesied Messiah. He argues that Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecies and that Christianity is the true fulfillment of the Jewish scriptures. The conversation delves into the differences between Judaism and Christianity while seeking common ground and understanding between the two faiths. Ultimately, Justin Martyr aims to persuade Trypho and his Jewish audience of the authenticity and superiority of the Christian faith.
