GSAThere is a common misconception out there that when you get a GSA contract, the GSA just grabs the best price you've ever given anybody and says that's ours. And you have to sell to the government under your GSA at that price, and that is completely WRONG! You actually get to negotiate with the GSA what your pricing with your discounting arrangement is going to be.

So, this negotiation actually begins at the very beginning of the process when you submit that your documents to the GSA you have a proposed GSA discount that you that you go in with. I recommend one percent initially, it's a good starting point that leaves a lot of wiggle room later. For the next step, the GSA will come back and and ask for say 5 or 10 percent. You can now counter back, and that's pretty much the way that it goes until you come to terms and then the contracts awarded.
