This is a mixed berry variation of the Blueberry Swamp Pie from Chapter 4 of The Book on Pie. In the book, this recipe is made with fresh blueberries. I substituted an equal weight of thawed, strained frozen mixed berries for this pie. I followed the frozen fruit tips on page 134 to make a couple recipe adjustments, like reducing all the liquid that came off of the frozen fruit to keep the flavor - but not the liquid, and keep the final pie sliceable!
