Did you ever wonder why Dr Cortex's henchmen love to hate each other in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time?
It's a typical power struggle. One was cast aside as a failure, and sees the need to prove himself. The other owes his 'master' a life debt after Cortex took him in despite his injuries and insanity.
The two were enemies in Crash Bandicoot 2, when N. Brio betrayed Cortex and worked with Crash to foil Cortex and N. Gin's plans for world domination.
It's obvious that even though N. Brio is back on the team in Crash Bandicoot 4, the two just can't get along and are constantly seen fighting.
This is what I imagine their first encounter was like after coming face-to-face before the events of Crash Bandicoot 4.
