Hell(o) there,
This is how to add custom texture(s) to a DOOM WAD, if you couldn't read the title. My Mic is low-quality, so here are the steps in writing for you if the video wasn't enough.
Doom reads flats and wall textures separately. So you have to signify that:
- First; make a new entry and title it “PP_START”
- This entry will mark the start of wall textures to be read.
- "PP_END" signifies the end of wall textures.
- Then you must import the your texture(s) and place it under “PP_START” and above "PP_END"
- For Flats, it is "FF_START" and "F_END"
Afterwards; right click your custom texture, and add it to textures. It'll create a patch table and batch to read the textures off of. If Flats are for some reason are NOT WORKING, don't add them to the Patch/Texture table; BUT, still put them between the F-Start and F-End markers. This is for simple textures btw, Buttons and moving textures require a special config file for Doom to read off of. Good luck!
