Growing winter onions over the years I have added a clip of video from years gone by showing onions being harvested from a bucket. It can be done, I've done it. These were Japanese onions grown from sets. I am now going to try three varieties from seed. I am going with Walla Walla, Ailsa Craig and Zebrune, a gourmet shallot.
