This week I go through the beta process itself. Talk about the steps needed to move a software project like Inkscape from being developed by everyone, to being more narrow and focused on polishing for final delivery to the general public. I talk about the vectors team being responsible for making the scheduling decisions and where developers have questions to answer about some of the things they've made, if they work, and if they can string two words together in a way that normal users can understand.
A spotlight on long time contributor Maren Hachmann who's work on the beta will improve the quality of language used in the software for everyone, and make translators work easier.
I will post links when vectors have made the final beta announcement.
And a big thank you to everyone who sponsors my work. Please consider spending some of your open source investment portfolio on my Inkscape work over at [ Ссылка ]
