On their album ‘Dutch Masters’ there is a fabulous Concerto for Two Pianos entitled In Unison that the Dutch composer Joey Roukens (b. 1982) especially wrote for Lucas and Arthur Jussen. 'Roukens dips into all sorts of musical traditions and you can hear them in this piece: classical, techno, jazz and film. It's beautiful, energetic, good and innovative, but it also speaks to the young and old, seasoned listeners and the uninitiated alike. That's why we feel that In Unison is a concerto that's here to stay,' Lucas and Arthur say. The Jussen brothers perform In Unison with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, whose tympanist happens to be their father, Paul Jussen.
