Around the turn of the century came Stare's amazing ethereal goth rock album "Haunted" from Carpe Noctem records, which tells a story befitting that title in the course of its ten songs. If you are looking for the album, you can find it on places like Amazon, Ebay, or Discogs.com. I highly recommend it. I don't own the rights to this album, but I did purchase it, and I'm still very happy with that choice years later.
The ninth song of the album is truly a black void of a song in the best way. The protagonist is feeling low and drained of energy, one foot in another world from the sheer gloom of existence. Sorting through her emotions, she considers that in contrast to what she had believed, there may be an external cause for her suffering: an entity whose intentions are malevolent rather than benign...
