Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams is expected to provide an update Thursday on the latest COVID-19 cases in the province and to discuss the government's ongoing response to the pandemic.
Williams said that the province is reporting 514 new cases of COVID-19, which brings the total number of people infected to 8,961. The province has done 128,093 tests so far for the virus. This is up 9,001 tests from the previous day.
Also, Williams clarified the province's understanding of what it means to be asymptomatic with COVID-19, yet still be able to transmit the virus.
