Sir Timothy Laurence personally brings Princess Anne her midday meal, which is stored in a portable insulated bag.
Princess Anne received delightful "home indulgences" from her beloved husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, as he personally delivered them to her bedside in the hospital. The princess had been recovering from a concussion, a result of a minor head injury caused by a horse's unexpected kick.
On Monday, Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess Royal had been admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after experiencing minor injuries during an "incident" on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire the previous day.
Today, Sir Timothy made a visit to his wife, spending nearly two hours with her during lunchtime. Upon leaving around 2pm, he provided an encouraging update on her recovery, assuring the media that she was progressing well.
Sporting an open-collar shirt and blazer, Sir Timothy carried a blue coolbag, seemingly filled with refreshments, as he braved the scorching heatwave that had gripped the nation. When asked if he had brought anything for the princess, he replied, "Just a few delightful surprises from the comforts of home."
With a wave to the reporters gathered outside the hospital, Sir Timothy placed the bag in the back seat of his Range Rover before taking the driver's seat and departing. Princess Anne remains under the care of Southmead Hospital, where she is undergoing tests, treatment, and observation.
