ART HISTORY | BARBARA HEPWORTH FOR KIDS: TOILET PAPER TUBES PAPER SCULPTURES
Barbara Hepworth (1903 - 1975) is known as a modern master of sculpture. Instead of making art that looked like people or things, she made sculptures and drawings using abstract shapes and created holes within the shape and form. Take a look at some of her sculptures and let’s ponder: Why did she make holes through her sculptures?
Activity: Let’s explore the forms and space within the form using toilet paper tubes and cardboard!
All that you need are as follows:
(1) Toilet Paper tubes & cardboards
